On Thursday, June 22nd, the South Florida Business and Wealth Magazine presented its annual Up & Comer Awards, which honors young professionals who have achieved excellence in their careers, shown a commitment to their community, and demonstrated leadership in their field. The awards recognize one professional per industry. The winner of the Healthcare category was Justin Irizarry.

Mr. Irizarry is a graduate of Cornell University and earned his M.B.A. at Wharton. He started his career on Wall Street as a Vice President at Scott-Macon, Ltd. There, he was responsible for sourcing and executing transactions in the $50 – $300 million range. Today, he is the Co-Founder and CFO of OrthoNOW®. OrthoNOW, the nation’s only orthopedic urgent care franchise, is focused on the assessment and treatment of a range of orthopedic and sports injuries, chronic conditions, and preventative protocols – all on a walk-in basis.

OrthoNOW recently announced they now have over 40 units in development coast to coast already this year and over 100 by year end. OrthoNOW franchisees are comprised of best in class investors, sophisticated business owners and operators, private equity firms, SCA’s, orthopedic medical groups, and other forward thinkers committed to disrupting traditional healthcare delivery models. The brand’s strategy is focused on wealth building and portfolio diversification.
