Volunteer Orthopedic Medical Staff to Host a Fully-Functioning On-Site Emergency “Room,” Complete with the Latest Technology in Recovery Therapy
Miami, Florida, January 16, 2014: OrthoNOW™ Orthopedic Urgent Care Center is a sponsor and medical provider for 3rd Annual Wodapalooza CrossFit Event and Fitness Festival kicking off January 17th in Bayfront Park. With over 80 affiliates in Miami, and more than 6,000 around the globe, CrossFit has become the universal sport of fitness. And, Wodapalooza has grown to become one of the largest fitness competitions and CrossFit events in the world in which CrossFit athletes and fitness enthusiasts from around the world will gather for three-days of competition and CrossFit challenges. As a medical provider, OrthoNOW™ will be on hand with a team of volunteer orthopedic medical staff working in a fully functioning on-site emergency tent to treat the athletes in the event of injury or dehydration. OrthoNOW™ will offer ARP Wave – the most innovative quick recovery therapy used by the most elite athletes–to Wodapalooza.

The Wodapalooza event attracts a wide range of participants from elite athletes to everyday people, ages 15 and up who are determined to take their strengths and athleticism to the next level. Over 10,000 competitors are expected and a $10,000 total cash prize is up for the taking to the winners of both the Men’s, Women’s, Team and Master’s divisions. And a portion of the event’s proceeds will be donated to the Irie Foundation, benefitting underprivileged students in middle school to assist them in acquiring the skills needed to obtain a college education.
