What our OrhoNOW centers are doing to keep associates and patients safe during COVID-19

Reconfigured waiting room for social distancing

Everyone must wear a mask

Patients are not allowed to enter the office wearing gloves

Only 6 patients in waiting room at one time

No guest or children in waiting room or exam rooms (unless child is the patient, parent / guardian will be allowed)

If waiting room is at capacity, any additional patients will be asked to wait in their car or outside until they are called to return

Scheduling some non-urgent visit via telemedicine to minimize the potential spread of COVID 19 and maintain social distancing while we provide orthopedic care

Sending e-blasts to inform patient of telemedicine services available

We will continue to send out chapters of the book for staff to read, and to discuss in upcoming meetings.

Surgery Center at Doral - COVID 19 protocol:

• All (domestic and international) patients who are scheduled for a procedure will be tested for COVID-19 by the SCD team on either a Thursday or Monday prior to the procedure date (depending on day of the procedure).

• The patient is instructed to remain in self-isolation from the time of COVID-19 test until they arrive back to the SCD for their scheduled procedure.

• On day of procedure, the patient will be subject to a temperature check and must complete and sign a COVID-19 questionnaire during registration.

OrthoNOW Immediate Care – 3.0

• Doral location – resuming normal hours of operation as of 6/8/2020. Hours are Mon-Fri 8-8pm and Sat. 9-3pm.

• Biscayne Facility closed until further notice.

• OrthoNOW – is now offering telehealth for all Orthopedic needs. Fee was previously $79. Due to the financial hardship that so many of our patients are experiencing from the current situation, they have reduced the fee to $25.

• OrthoNOW Rehab is now offering therapy visit by telemedicine. The fee was previously $80, but is now reduced to $50 for established private pay patients.

• OrthoNOWLive - New telehealth app being used. Check it out if you haven’t already!
