Terapia PRP

A non-surgical option to help reduce pain and improve movement.

Dealing with joint or tendon pain that is keeping you from doing the things you enjoy? PRP therapy is a non-surgical treatment that uses a concentrated sample of your blood to support your body’s natural healing response. For certain injuries and conditions, it may help relieve pain and improve function. Our orthopedic team will evaluate what is causing your pain and help you decide whether PRP is right for you.

How PRP Works

A small sample of your blood is drawn and processed to concentrate the platelet-rich plasma (PRP). The PRP is then injected into the injured or painful area to support your body’s natural healing response.

Conditions We Evaluate for PRP

Every patient is different. Our orthopedic providers will evaluate your pain or injury, discuss whether PRP may be a good option, and create a treatment plan built around your needs and goals.

Why Choose OrthoNOW?

Risks & Complications

PRP is generally considered low risk. Because it is made from your blood, serious adverse reactions are rare. Possible side effects include temporary pain or soreness at the injection site, infection, bruising, or swelling. Serious complications are very uncommon. As with any treatment, outcomes vary by individual. Ask your provider if you have questions.

Cuidado por los convalecientes

Mild discomfort for a few days is common. Cold compresses may help. You may be advised to avoid strenuous activity or medications like NSAIDs for a short time. Follow your provider’s aftercare plan carefully for the best results and faster recovery. Return to normal activity gradually and as your pain level is right for you.

Yes. OrthoNOW offers financing through Affirm. Eligible patients may qualify for 0% APR payment plans for 3, 6, 9, or 12 months, subject to approval. With an approved 0% APR plan, you pay the same total price as you would upfront, spread across monthly payments with no interest or additional financing fees.

For patients seeking another option to potentially reduce pain and improve function, PRP can be an investment in feeling and moving better. At this time, most insurance plans do not cover PRP, so treatment is paid for directly by the patient.

Pricing and PRP Bundle: PRP costs $850 per injection, or $1,950 for three (3x) injections with the OrthoNOW PRP Bundle – a $600 savings.

Affirm: Eligible patients may qualify for 0% APR payment plans through Affirm. This means zero percent interest for 3, 6, 9, or 12 months, subject to approval. It depends on your condition and how you respond. Some patients may need one injection, while others may benefit from a series. Your provider will recommend a plan based on your individual needs.

When three injections are recommended, OrthoNOW’s PRP Bundle offers 25% savings compared with purchasing each injection individually. Scroll up for pricing or call 305-537-7272 to learn more.

PRP is generally considered low risk. Because it is prepared from your own blood, the main risks are related to the injection itself. Temporary pain or soreness is common. Infection, tissue damage, and nerve injury are possible but uncommon. Our providers will review the potential risks with you before treatment. You may also speak with our Medical Director (orthopedic surgeon) if you have additional questions, call and ask.

PRP may help some patients, but results depend on the condition and the individual. Research is most supportive for certain chronic tendon problems, especially tennis elbow, and mild-to-moderate knee osteoarthritis. PRP is not guaranteed, and it is not FDA-approved as a treatment for all orthopedic conditions. Your provider will give you a realistic picture before you decide.

The best way to find out is through an orthopedic evaluation. We’ll review your injury/pain, medical history, and imaging, then explain whether PRP may be a reasonable option — or whether another treatment would be a better fit.
