Las 5 lesiones más comunes y como evitarlas

Como todo el mundo se prepara para mantener sus resoluciones sobre mantenerse en forma, es importante recordar que nuestro cuerpo tiene límites que puede manejar. Sin la postura apropiada y estiramientos, pueden ocurrir lesiones graves.

Ya sea que esté haciendo ejercicios de Pilates, construyendo músculo con sus pesas o simplemente, yendo al gimnasio por su cuenta, tome nota de estas lesiones comunes y algunos consejos simples fáciles de recordar  proporcionados por el Dr. Alejandro Badia, Cirujano Ortopédico de renombre internacional y Director Médico de OrthoNOW centro médico de urgencias de Miami quien reconoce el impacto que rodea a estos acontecimientos que se ven comúnmente. El Dr. Badia ha implementado la nueva tecnología ARP Wave (Onda Acelerada de Recuperación de Rendimiento) para combatir el dolor que puede ser evitable si usted sigue estos 5 consejos.

 

1.     Rodilla
Debido a que la mayor parte del día puede ser usado detrás de un escritorio, nuestros músculos de la cadera no están recibiendo movimientos y para algunos de nosotros, cuando terminamos de trabajar, es el mejor momento para hacer ejercicios que podrían resultar en lesiones en la rodilla si no se aplica un estiramiento adecuado.

CONSEJO: Haciendo ejercicios como embestidas permiten que sus caderas y tobillos se doblen de forma simultánea, estabilizando y construyendo los músculos en la rodilla. Trate de hacer embestidas hacia adelante, atrás y luego de lado a lado. Si usted experimenta dolor en la rodilla, sería mejor descansar y poner hielo en la rodilla, así como usar compresiones y no olvide elevarlas. Un dolor extremo así como inflamación deben ser examinados por un médico

 

2.     Pie y Tobillo
Usted puede pensar que no hay forma en que la parte superior del cuerpo pueda causar lesiones en el pie y el nivel de los tobillos, pero podría estar equivocado. La gente pasa sus días delante de su computadora con hombros redondeados. Cuando los hombros se redondean y se pone de pie, el peso recae en la parte delantera de su pie. Esto es debido a un centro de gravedad fuera de lugar que naturalmente lo hace inclinarse hacia adelante con un talón más alto que el dedo del pie, y los pies y los tobillos comienzan a soportar la peor parte de cualquier impacto.

CONSEJO:  Ayudando a extender el impacto a través de  todo el pie puede prevenir problemas como la fascitis plantar, tendinitis de Aquiles, el síndrome de compartimiento anterior (compresión en la parte frontal del tobillo), el síndrome de compresión lateral (compresión en el lado del tobillo  y juanetes. Considere comprar un zapato que sea más bajo en el talón que la mayoría de los zapatos y quizás un zapato de tenis o un zapato para caminar.

 

3.     Espalda baja
Recuerde, estar sentado todo el día por mucho tiempo provoca que los músculos de la espalda se endurezcan. Moverse rápidamente y sin un estiramiento adecuado no permite que los músculos de su base se puedan ajustar, ya que están comenzando débiles. Cuando usted comienza su entrenamiento, sin una base firme, su espalda superior no dispone de la agilidad necesaria para extenderse como debería causando dolor y lo que es peor, un daño permanente.

CONSEJO: Recuerde estirar y fortalecer la espalda superior para compensar todo lo encorvado que está en la oficina. Trate de fortalecer los músculos que sostienen la espalda, utilice una buena postura y si se puede, evite estar sentado o de pie durante largos períodos de tiempo.

4.     Hombro
Muchas lesiones comunes  del hombro ocurren a causa de la falta de entrenamiento apropiado o la forma o técnica inadecuada. El movimiento repetitivo dentro de su sesión de ejercicios también puede causar lesiones en los hombros.

CONSEJO: Hacer calentamiento antes de hacer ejercicios con el hombro al estirar los músculos preformado  encogimiento de hombros, estiramientos, y haciendo rollos de hombro, y comenzar una rutina para fortalecer gradualmente los músculos de los hombros. Es necesario rotar externamente los brazos para equilibrar sus hombros, y una gran manera de hacerlo es remar con cables.

5. Cuello
Con todas las otras áreas afectadas a través del cuerpo, la desalineación en su cuello puede llegar a ser inevitable. Debido a que usted se sienta con los hombros redondeados, el cuello sigue la espalda superior, pero luego sus ojos tienen que mirar a la pantalla, por lo que arquear el cuello le ocasiona dolor. Cuando usted llega al gimnasio esa mala postura le sigue todo el camino hasta la prensa de banco, que es donde el verdadero problema comienza cuando usted está acostado en el banco pero su espalda no está alineada con la almohadilla la cual muestra una falta de movilidad y extensión de la espalda superior, poniendo tensión en su espalda baja y el cuello.

CONSEJO: Evite torceduras súbitas o movimientos bruscos. Conozca sus propios límites. No intente grandes pesos sin un amigo en el lugar con usted para ayudarle si es necesario. Ponga especial atención cuando realice pesas recostado, asegurarse de que su espalda baja y el cuello estén apoyados correctamente.

This has been one of the worst experience I ever had with any service provider of any kind. People at this office hate... their job, starting with the main therapist that works in the morning. In several occasions I heard him cursing the fact he had to be there working in the morning. Then he would punish his patients by letting them sitting around waiting while he watched videos on his computer. I am returning from a new therapy office I had to go to complete my therapy and I just realized how poor of a service I was receiving at ortho now Doral. After two hand surgeries, OrthoNow is a Godsend. I had very limited movement in 2 fingers on my right hand. The “Double... A’s” (Angela and Amanda) have really been a light in this process. I am writing this review based on my last visit to the Orthonow office in Doral. I have visited this location numerous... times in the past, seeking medical attention and was always greeted with the upmost professionalism. This time the Physician Assistant on shift did not agree that I should be treated at all and directed me to contact another physician. At that moment I was in severe pain but understood that he had the right to refuse treatment. It would have been nice though if he had at least given me something for the pain. He did not agree with the treatment that I requested even though I received the same treatment at that location three times before. He instructed the person at the front desk to refund my copay and let me go.read more
